Jump Start is an annual residential summer program hosted on the University of Arkansas Fayetteville campus that helps rising seniors interested in applying to the UA get a jump start on several college-going processes. Students who attend will complete the UA admissions application, start the scholarship search process, network with departments across campus, and more.
We will host one session of Jump Start in the summer of 2024:
Application: The application will open on November 1, 2023, and will close on April 1, 2024. Students will be notified if they are selected to attend in mid-April. No late applications will be accepted.
Cost: It is free to apply. If selected/invited, students will need to pay a $40 program fee. Students on free/reduced lunch have the potential to have the program fee waived. The cost of the residence hall, meals, and classroom supplies are covered by the College Access Initiative.
- Students must be graduating high school in December 2024 or May 2025 to apply.
- Students must have an interest in applying to and learning more about the University of Arkansas.
- Students must be currently on track to meet the UA’s automatic admission criteria (3.2 GPA)
- Students who are invited and attend Jump Start must stay on campus in the residence hall and participate in all parts of the entire program.
