Thank you for your interest in applying for the 2026 Summer ArtLab at the School of Art!
Thank you for your interest and inquiry in ArtLab at the University of Arkansas School of Art! The second annual program includes a few updates. This year, the School of Art will offer three different sessions of ArtLab. Applicants may share their preferences and availability for these sessions, but will be assigned one. These details will be confirmed by early May.
The School of Art has expanded ArtLab to a three-day format for each of the sessions:
- June 24-26 (at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art)
- July 8-10 (at University of Arkansas)
- July 15-17 (at University of Arkansas)
Note: While all sessions follow similar programming, focuses and materials may slightly vary.
Session 1: For the first session, as a partner to Crystal Bridges American Museum of Art (CBMAA) and Arkansas art educators, the School of Art is facilitating registration and costs for educators in Arkansas to attend CBMAA’s national conference for educator across the U.S. Registering for this session means that you will have a blended experience; you will attend sessions (workshops, training, etc.) with experts on Crystal Bridges’ campus alongside having access to unique SoA-hosted sessions. Those traveling to Northwest Arkansas will have their lodging paid for and will stay near the museum in Bentonville.
Sessions 2 and 3: These sessions will be held on the University of Arkansas campus and School of Art facilities with presentations and sessions from guest speakers, workshops by School of Art faculty, and a full day at Crystal Bridges. Those traveling to Northwest Arkansas will have their lodging paid for and will stay near the campus in Fayetteville.
