College Algebra Option Selection

Complete this form to officially notify the First-Year Engineering Program of your math placement plans. The College of Engineering has found that starting in the right math class helps with your success of earning your engineering degree. Here are your options:

Option 1: Submit a final transcript showing concurrent/dual college credit for College Algebra or a higher math course from another college or university or submit qualifying AP test scores (no incentive).

Option 2: Do nothing now but plan to take College Algebra in Fall 2021 at the U of A (no incentive).

Option 3: Take College Algebra at a local institution of higher education and transfer the credit to the U of A (includes receiving a one-time $500 scholarship for earning an A or a one-time $250 scholarship for earning a B)

Option 4: Take College Algebra during the Summer II session at the U of A (includes receiving a one-time scholarship to cover the cost of tuition and fees for the College Algebra course for earning an A or a one-time $500 scholarship for earning a B)

Option 5: Take College Algebra remotely at the U of A during the Summer II session (includes receiving a one-time scholarship to cover the cost of tuition and fees for the College Algebra course for earning an A or a one-time $500 scholarship for earning a B)

Option 6: Take the ALEKS math placement test (includes receiving a discount code to take the ALEKS for free and a one-time $100 scholarship for being placed in a higher math course)
